The sequestering of pollutants? is simply a matter of installing the proper equipment. These polluters get wet when they can externalize the cost of their operation. They poison workers and communities and whenever you talk about clean air, they threaten their workforce with layoffs. True CO2 is consumed by plants, but to use that in this debate was ignorant the 1st. some1 used it, I surprised ppl still uses it. The Earth's plant life had plenty of CO2 before human started releasing prehistoric CO2? We are still reducing the amount of plant life as well. Plants consume water as well, too much water kills them. In the event too much CO2 kills them it's probably not observable in 1 human life time, but future generations may observe it& suffer.

Sounds like the current plant operators aren't interested in meeting the new regulations that take effect, to keep the plant open. The customers & other? interested parties should take over the plant by creating a not for profit coop. As rule a coops act in their members best interests, not in the interest of stock holders that may or may not buy power from the plant. Coops that operate plants affected by the rules will still be providing their member/customers with power.
